Central Location
Prairie Rose Cottage is situated on our acreage just a few miles east of Fort Macleod, in the hamlet of Orton. We are a short two hours drive south of Calgary, and access is all on paved roads. The acreage is spacious with sweeping views of the prairies all the way to the Rocky Mountains. We are not far off the main highway and centrally located with quick access to the many beautiful attractions in Southern Alberta. We are 25 minutes from Lethbridge, and just over an hour from Waterton Lakes National Park, the Crowsnest Pass, and Glacier National Park in Montana.

This quaint escape was the perfect getaway for my wife and me. I was working in the area and decided to make it a bit of a getaway. So glad we did. The atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable. Our hosts left us some goodies in the cottage and we took full advantage. My wife stayed and worked remotely during the day while I was away, she loved every minute of her alone time. The Spaberry hot tub was excellent. We loved unwinding at the end of the day. My only complaint is that I didn't book an extra day. Absolutely wonderful experience.
This was the most adorable little house! They've thought of everything to make your stay relaxing. The basket of snacks in the kitchen, to commonly forgotten toiletries in the bathroom. And the hot tub!! What an amazing feature! The plexiglass over top between the gazebo and the fence, and the piece that went down the fence was a brilliant touch. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back and will be sure to tell our friends.

Prairie Rose Cottage is adorable and cozy and very, very clean and neat. The location and the price are very good. The kitchenette is fully stocked with lots of thoughtful extras—even some eggs and milk in the refrigerator. The hot tub is a real bonus. We highly recommend this accommodation and we will stay here again if travelling in southern Alberta.
Beautiful little cottage! We enjoyed the extra touches of fresh eggs and milk and snacks that were supplied, spent a day in Waterton, and golfed at the Fort McLeod golf course!
Such a beautiful, clean little cottage! Definitely was a little home away from home. Had all the basics (and more) for what you need (pots, pans, snacks, toiletries, movies, books, hot tub, fire pit, bikes etc). Highly recommend coming here!
This is the most magical place. It went above and beyond our expectations. So many personal touches that really made it feel like home. We used this as a base and drove into visit Waterton and Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump. It was so relaxing and the hot tub was amazing! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time at this cozy little cottage. The patio area is amazing, the hot tub was much appreciated as were all the little extras that the host provided. The cottage was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The only reason for the four stars instead of five is because I was surprised that the cottage was so close to the hosts house. From any pictures I had viewed, I was under the impression that the cottage was tucked away somewhere private, which isn’t the case (the patio is somewhat private, the cottage itself is not) With that said, we didn’t have any privacy issues, but it is worth mentioning if you are looking for something a little more secluded. A simple fix would be a privacy fence on the one side of the cottage that would separate the cottage area from the main house. Overall this is a wonderful little place and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.Pic to show cabin in relation to house. Loved our little getaway at Prairie Rose Cottage! The cottage had everything you could want for your stay from the kitchen to entertainment to outdoor patio set up and so much more! Loved the rustic/country decor and all the little personal touches of the cottage! Located very close to other centres if you wanted to go into town for anything! The owners were so easy going and great to deal with! Very reasonable pricing! Will be back for sure!
Prairie rose Cottage is an amazing little getaway for a couple or couple with kids, beautiful little cabin and the hosts provide almost everything youd need for a comfortable stay from fresh milk and eggs to peanut butter and jam packs, all you gotta bring is the bread. It was quite windy and a little chilly during our stay so we didnt get to enjoy the fire pit or really take advantage of the gazebo on the patio but our next visit we'll try for the summer months so we can give it a shot, wonderful experience, definetly coming back!!
Sweetest little bed and breakfast cabin. Comfy and well appointed. Exceptionally clean and tidy with everything you might need at your fingertips ... fresh milk, fresh eggs and snacks with everything needed to cook if you choose. The bed, sheets and comforter were so comfortable. Lots of light but blinds when needed. It's tiny but its perfect.
My husband and I loved this amazing little cottage!:) It was the perfect little get away! They really went above and beyond from the eggs and milk in the fridge to the extra cozy blanket. I will definitely be recommending to our friends and family!:)

Everything you need for breakfast is there. We loved that! It's such a sweet little cottage and we had a super relaxing weekend. Situated in the quiet hamlet of Orton, 9 km from Fort Macleod, Alberta on paved roads. Our acreage is spacious with a beautiful view of the prairie all the way to the Rocky Mountains in the distance. We live on the same property (100 ft away) but will give you complete privacy.
The cottage sleeps up to 2 persons and features a full kitchenette and dining area, a comfortable recliner, free WiFi, and a full bathroom with tiled shower.
Enjoy walking and biking the quiet country roads or relaxing on the front porch, listening to birds and crickets and maybe catching a glimpse of a unique wildlife visitor or a gorgeous prairie sunset.
